Irresistible Beats and Melodies/Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World Film Discussion

Irresistible Beats and Melodies Film Series: The Indians Who Rocked the World

Join professor, author, DJ, and filmmaker Dr. Tom Shaker for a film series about pop, Latin Boogaloo, and rock ’n’ roll in the 1960s and beyond. Watch a film at home, and then discuss it online on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.

Tonight, chat about Rumble: The Indians Who Rocked the World. Explore the music of pioneering Native American musicians Link Wray, Jimi Hendrix, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Charley Patton, Mildred Bailey, Jesse Ed Davis, Robbie Robertson, Randy Castillo, and more.

Watch the film on Kanopy with your George Hail Library card. If you don't have a library card, call 245-7686 to find out how to get a card online or in-person.
