We invite any child who has not yet started kindergarten to join our version of the nationwide 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge! From their first day of life until the day they start school, your little one is eligible to sign up. Tips and Tricks for Completing the Challenge
Reading one book per day will get you to 1,000 books in less than three years. Three books per day will have you there in less than one year!
Rereading the same book is not only allowed, but encouraged! Repetition is great for developing literacy skills.
A book counts toward the 1,000 no matter who the reader is! Bringing your child to the library for storytime is a great way to add several books in one day.
