Haiku Workshop

Join us for this interactive workshop that includes a brief overview of Japanese haiku and its major practitioners, and explores various techniques used to write haiku. Participants will engage in guided exercises to write personal haiku and receive tools for ongoing practice. Through group discussion, we’ll discover a new appreciation for this accessible and profound form of poetry.

Creative Writing Workshop

Calling all writers! Come to our monthly creative writing group where we will check in with each other about current or future projects, share work for feedback, and experiment with fun writing prompts. Whether you have been working on that novel for years, or are just getting into creative writing, all genres and experience levels are welcome. This group is for ages 18 and up. Stop by and get to know the other writers in your community! Registration encouraged but not required.

Calling amateurs and professional knitters! Come knit in our circle! Bring a current project or start a new one!

Yarn and needles offered for beginners! We meet every Tuesday at 6pm in the George Hail Library Reading Room.

Hand Embroidery Club

Friday Favorites

Friday Favorites, George Hail Library's book sharing group, meets on the first Friday of the month 11am-12 noon.


New members are always welcome.  Each participant is encouraged to talk about a book they would like to recommend to others.
