No internet at home?  No problem! The library has started lending Mobile Hotspot devices that provide portable wifi access.  Our Coolpad Surf devices allow up to 10 wifi enabled devices to access the internet simultaneously on the 4G LTE network.  More information can be found here.
Please join us on Friday, Feb. 21 at 2pm for a local history program, Pokanokets and Pilgrims: Conflict and Compromise in the 17th Century. Dr. David Weed, Coordinator of the Sowams Heritage Area Project, will give an overview of the transition from Native to colonial domination of the land and talk about how the Project is helping to illuminate the 17th century history of eight communities from Providence to Bristol during the 400th anniversary year of the Pilgrims’ arrival in Plymouth.
Join us for a presentation on Thursday, Jan 23rd at 6:30pm by Eric Smith,  a UFO researcher and field investigator for MUFON in Rhode Island. His work includes the history of UFO sightings in Rhode Island and recent notable investigations and witness interviews. He will be talking about recent sightings in Rhode Island, what MUFON (the Mutual UFO Network) does as an investigative organization and highlighting some of the stranger cases of the last few years.
