Children's Summer Events Schedule

Build A Better World Children's Summer Reading Program at the George Hail Library
is free to the public and designed for children ages 5-12.

Space is limited, so please sign up by calling the Children's Room (245-7686)



                                           


                  WORLD DANCE AND MUSIC              Tuesday June 27 at 10:30 am
Lola Matta will perform a variety of dance styles from around the world using music, props and costuming.
Then we can all join in for a fun filled dance experience. 

ANIMAL EXPERIENCES WITH DAVE MARCHETTI   
Tuesday July 11 at 10:30 am
Shake hands with a hedgehog, wiggle with a snake or smile at a tree frog as we have fun with this great hands on animal adventure.

FIDDLIE N’ FUN WITH JOEL BEAUCHEMIN
Tuesday July 18 at 10:30 am
Enjoy some fine fiddle music then join to make some music of your
own with simple one - stringed Fiddlestix.

WARM AND FUZZY ANIMAL ADVENTURES
Tuesday July 25 at 10:30 am
Spend a peaceful time petting, feeding and cuddling warm and fuzzy
animals like bunnies, ferrets, lambs, ducks and hens.

RHODE ISLAND MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND ART
Tuesday August 1 at 10:30 am
Using artist Buckminster Fuller as inspiration, we will design and build our
own forts using dowels, connectors and cloth.

MUSIC FUN WITH KATIE FAIRHEAD
Tuesday August 8 at 10:30 am
Wiggle, giggle, sing and dance as Katie helps us make our own kind of
music with voices, instruments and dance.

BWANA IGUANA REPTILE EXPERIENCE

Explore the exciting world of reptiles with this entertaining hands on live animal adventure. 

Join us for a party to celebrate the end of the Summer Reading Program with refreshments and more fun. At the library, you can check out passes to museums and other exciting places! These passes provide a reduced or free admission.
